Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using ChartMake, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of chartmake.com and any associated services (collectively, the "Service") operated by ChartMake ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
ChartMake provides a browser-based tool for creating, customising, and downloading data visualisations including bar charts, line graphs, pie charts, doughnut charts, and scatter plots. The Service is available in a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features may change over time at our discretion.

The free tier is provided without warranty and may be modified, limited, or discontinued at any time without notice. We reserve the right to impose usage limits on the free tier to protect service availability for all users.
Billing. ChartMake Pro is billed monthly at the price displayed at the time of purchase. All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months.
Refunds. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your first payment, contact us at support@chartmake.com for a full refund. After 14 days, all payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
Price changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Notice will be given by email to the address on your account and/or by a notice on the website. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Our IP. The ChartMake website, tool, branding, design, code, and all content we produce are owned by ChartMake and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission.
Chart.js. The charting functionality is powered by Chart.js, an open-source library licensed under the MIT Licence. We comply with all applicable open-source licence requirements.
Fonts. Typography is provided by Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font Licence.
All data you enter into the ChartMake tool (labels, values, titles) is processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or access your chart data on our servers. You retain full ownership of any data you enter and any charts you create.
By submitting a contact form message, you grant us a limited licence to use that content solely to respond to your enquiry.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Charts created using ChartMake are the responsibility of the user. We make no representations as to the accuracy or suitability of any chart for any particular purpose, including academic, commercial, or medical use.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChartMake and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you are a free-tier user.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have a Pro subscription, follow the cancellation process in Section 4.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction. If you are located in the European Union, you may also have rights under local consumer protection law that these Terms do not limit.
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For Pro subscribers, we will also send notice by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
